FiberFestival 2006 was presented by the Southern Plains
Fiber Guild (SPFG). It will take place at the Pioneer Woman Museum, 701 Monument, in Ponca City, OK, during the month of November,
2006.
The mission of FiberFestival 2006 is to provide an opportunity for fiber
artisans in the Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas area to showcase their work from traditional crafts to innovative
art. This eclectic show honors quality workmanship and original designs. The exhibit will also strive to educate the public
about the many facets of fiber artistry by presenting a wide range of media techniques and traditions.
FiberFestival 2006 especially hopes to encourage artists who have limited or no experience in entering
juried competitions. Everyone who enters will have a minimum of one (1) item on exhibit during the month-long show.
